Tasos Sahanidis 93f34db7b4 Switch back to AudioObject with correct data type 
Turns out, AudioObjectGetPropertyData failed with error 561211770
meaning "The buffer provided for the property is too small."

Switching from bool to int fixes that.

Tasos Sahanidis a47e8c209a Fix FIFO permablock hack on macOS 
The write blocks if the GUI was previously running (filling the
FIFO), so we set it to nonblock right before calling the final
write and destroying it.
