Tracking issue for Discord feature coverage against the official client.
Around 35 gateway dispatches are handled, and earlier passes closed#45, #46, #49, #52, #61, #62, #68, #69, #75, #79, #105 through #108, and #116 through #121 - covering
read-state sync, typing, threads and forums, slash commands and message components,
modals, polls, pins, moderation and role management, search, friend requests, forwarded
messages and invites.
What is left, after the September 2026 review:
#14 - screen share: hosting works as of September 2026, viewing does not
#184 - AutoMod's verdicts are never shown (low priority)
#185 - a server cannot be found or joined the way the client offers (low priority)
Voice and video, after hosting a stream for real
Hosting a Go Live stream works now, and running one turned up what the feature is
sitting on rather than what it is missing. These came out of a live stream between two
accounts, not a reading:
#232 - a call has no echo cancellation (bug; under every Discord call, not just a
stream, and the reason a Matrix call sounds clean where a Discord one does not)
#231 - a shared screen is silent: no audio SSRC is ever claimed, so a viewer gets
the picture and nothing else
#235 - nobody in a call can be turned down: no per-user and no overall volume
#233 - nobody here can see what they are sharing (no local preview)
#234 - a stream is always 720p30 and cannot be changed (low priority)
#232 is the one worth doing first: it is a defect rather than an absence, it affects
every call, and both #231 and #235 have to be built around whatever it decides about
the reference signal.
#14 and #180 are the two halves of the same plumbing and should be planned together. #187 is the only defect in the list: moho can change group DM membership itself but
never hears about a change made elsewhere.
Built in the daemon, with no way to reach it
A separate axis from the list above: these are not missing features but features that
exist and work in the daemon with nothing in the window calling them.
#197 - a password login is offered by the daemon and by nothing else
#198 - somebody can be added to a group DM and never removed (bug)
#201 - scrollback can be repaired by the daemon and by nothing else (low priority)
See also #199 (the ignore list, which is cross-protocol and affects Discord).

Status, 1 October: everything this tracks is closed except #181 (stage channels). #14, #231 and #184 closed today; #185 and #188 closed as abandoned, because Discord puts joining, creating a server and adding a friend behind a captcha and a third-party client answering it gets the account flagged for spam. moho sends those three to discord.com instead.
#181 is built - listen, ask to speak, step up and down - and has not been tried on a live stage yet. This stays open until it has.
