Settings → Uploads says the host choice covers "IRC, and anything Sneedchat's own uploader refuses". It does not reach Sneedchat at all.
sendMessage's sockchat branch (rpc/methods.rs:1025) calls backend::sockchat::send_attachment unconditionally, and that function is hardwired to postimg.cc — its signature takes no host parameter, so the choice cannot reach it even in principle. The uploadHost param is read only on the IRC branch.
To reproduce: set the upload host to Catbox, attach an .mp4 in a Sneedchat room. It fails with "postimg.cc only accepts images" instead of uploading to catbox.
Done looks like: a Sneedchat send honours uploadHost, falling back to postimg only when that is what was chosen. Note postimg is genuinely images-only and 32MB-capped, so the refusal is correct for postimg — the bug is that no other host is reachable.
